Career Opportunities

So, you're interested in joining, are you?  All over the country there are Signal Squadrons giving you the opportunity to enjoy a great blend of opportunities and challenges.  Not only will you be trained in the ways of being a Royal Signaller and all that entails, but you will also have many opportunities to learn new skills and crafts, which lead to recognised qualifications in the Army as well as in civilian life.  It's an experience that can probably never be matched outside the army, with chances to do adventure training (hill walking, skiing, white-water rafting and more) as well as take courses through the army in such things as computer training, HGV/LGV licenses.  The list goes on.  It also gives you an opportunity to meet new people of varying talents, lifestyles, religions, ages*...  And, oh yeah, you get paid for it!!!

So, why not look up the TA centre nearest to you and see about recruiting?  Anyone already in the TA will tell you "You will not regret it...".

* On a different note, anyone who has seen the way the TA boys band together will know that any friends you make will vary in many ways.  As an outsider my fiancée has often commented on how it is not often that you see such a varied mix of people sitting together in a pub and getting on so well.  Age ranges are usually from about 18 to anything up to 50, and everyone gets on extremely well.  Age difference (in fact most differences) don't seem to come into play at the TA.  Everyone gets on like a house on fire!
